Here's an About Us text for Wobble Friends:
Our Story: From Our Garage to Your Home
Hi, we're Tom and Sarah Miller from Medina, Ohio.
Three years ago, our son Oliver was diagnosed with autism. While other kids his age were playing with loud, flashy toys, Oliver would cover his ears and hide. Birthday parties became meltdowns. Playtime became stress time.
We tried everything — expensive sensory toys, weighted blankets, noise machines. Nothing worked. Oliver just wanted something gentle to focus on, something predictable he could understand.
That's when Tom, who's always been handy, started tinkering in our garage. He took apart old toys, studied their mechanisms, and began building something different. No batteries. No lights. No sudden noises. Just a simple, wobbling friend that moved in a calm, rhythmic way.
The first time Oliver saw his Wobble Pup walk across the kitchen table, he didn't hide. He didn't cry. He watched. Then he smiled. Then he wound it up himself and watched it go again. And again. For the first time in months, our son was playing peacefully.
Word spread through our autism support group. Other parents started asking if Tom could make one for their child. What began as a father's love project in our garage turned into something bigger — a mission to help families like ours find moments of calm in the chaos.
We still make every Wobble Friend by hand, right here in our Medina garage. Tom assembles each one while I handle the packaging and notes. We're not a big company. We're not trying to be. We're just parents who stumbled upon something that works, sharing it with families who need it.
When you bring a Wobble Friend home, you're not just getting a toy. You're getting something made by parents who understand the daily struggles, the small victories, and the desperate search for anything that brings peace to your child.
From our family to yours, Tom & Sarah Miller
P.S. Oliver, now 7, still plays with his original Wobble Pup every day. Some things never get old when they're made with love.
